BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC)
Tenants of the BRC may request use of the BRC’s Auditorium, 2nd Floor Lecture Hall (Rm 280), BreakOut Room 106, Event/Exhibition Hall, and the conference rooms by contacting the BRC Events Specialist at brc-events@rice.edu. More information about the BRC event venues can be found online here.
Any Rice staff/faculty who is not a tenant of the BRC will require approval from BRC Management in order to reserve a BRC event venue(s). Please contact the BRC Events Specialist for more details at brc-events@rice.edu.
Captain's GSA Lounge
The Captain’s Lounge located in the Basement of Rice Memorial Center (RMC) needs to be reserved through the Graduate Student Association. To reserve the lounge for an event, please email gsa@rice.edu with your request.
Classroom Requests
The Office of the Registrar (OTR) is responsible for scheduling the activities in classrooms and computer labs. Prior to submitting a request to use a specific room, please check the Buildings and Classrooms page to confirm that the desired room is scheduled by the OTR. Registered student organizations can request a classroom here. Please note that food cannot be served in classrooms.
Cohen House (Faculty Club)
To rent the Cohen House for dinners, receptions, and/or celebrations, email club@rice.edu.
Duncan Hall
Duncan Hall residents and staff/faculty with the School of Engineering may request use of McMurtry Auditorium, Martel Hall, and the conference rooms online here. Under "My Account", use "Duncan Hall Log In".
Engineering students and staff/faculty members from outside the School of Engineering can reserve McMurtry Auditorium, Martel Hall, and the conference rooms by emailing dhreserv@rice.edu.
Anyone who is not staff/faculty with offices in Duncan Hall is required to have a Duncan Hall staff/faculty resident sponsor and a designated on-site Rice staff/faculty representative to reserve a room or public space in Duncan Hall. For more information, please email dhreserv@rice.edu.
Jones School Reservations
For reservations at the Jones Graduate School of Business (JGSB), contact Alison White at Allison.White@rice.edu.
Outdoor Spaces
Please visit rooms.rice.edu if interested in planning an event in an outdoor space. Outdoor requests must be initiated at least one week in advance. You can request the use of the Academic Quad (by Willy's Statue), the Central Quad (green space outside Brochstein, between Rice Memorial Center and Herring Hall), the Engineering Quad (by Abercrombie Laboratory), the West Quad (between the Jones School (McNair Hall) and the Baker Institute) and the Founder's Court (in front of the Sallyport).

Recreation Center Facilities
To reserve intramural playing fields and/or a room at the recreation center, fill out this form at least two weeks prior to the event date.
Summer and Conference Housing
Our campus offers comfortable and affordable accommodations that are perfect for your athletic, academic or professional conference. With over 2,500 beds available every June and July, Conference Services provides housing for large or small groups. Our dorms are located within historic, state of the art buildings and include options for many different types of rooms.
