Lunch & Lead
Four Lunch and Lead sessions are held every semester, and focus on a unique leadership topic designed to enhance students’ skills and knowledge. Past topics have ranged from legacy development to effective delegation. Sessions are open to any current Rice student, faculty, or staff. Lunch is provided on a first come, first served basis while supplies last! Please RSVP for upcoming Lunch and Lead programs.

Monday, August 31st - Accessibility of Applications - RSVP - Zoom

In this session we will explore how application processes and policies can support a theoretical commitment to inclusivity through mission/value alignment and cognizant mitigation of bias. We offer a case study from Center for Civic Leadership’s learn level programs and offer strategies for tweaking and/or reimagining your own recruitment, application, and selection processes to be more inclusive and equitable.
Thursday, September 10th - Supporting the Mental Health of BIPOC Students - RSVP - Zoom

In this session we will look at working with students in the BIPOC community and ways to support them and their mental health. We will address barriers that prevent individuals in the BIPOC community from accessing mental health services, ways to help members in this community get connected with resources, and discuss the types of resources currently available.
